    Meet your driver/guide at your hotel and drive Southeast past orange, olive, and peach farms until you reach the moon-like arid hills of Agafay Desert.
    From here, you will drive off the beaten track across. As you proceed further, you find yourself surrounded by the rugged dunes and rocky scene of Agafay desert. Cross dry rivers, canyons, and oases. Drive past Berber villages and watch flocks of sheep passing by.
    After a cup of Mint tea, get ready for an hour camel trek followed by a delicious Moroccan Tagine lunch served under a nomad tent. You continue to Lalla Takerkoust Lake in the afternoon, located at the other end of the Agafay desert. This lake serves as a water reservoir supplying Marrakech with drinking water. On the horizon, you will witness the majesty of the High Atlas Mountains, full of snow most of the year.
    Late in the afternoon, we return to Marrakech, and your Agafay day trip will come to an end with drop off at your hotel.

Our tour guide was both knowledgeable and welcoming. We had a captivating day in the Agafay Desert, exploring a Berber village where we enjoyed a truly delightful lunch amidst breathtaking scenery. We even embarked on a short hike up a mountain to another village, accompanied by one of the local women. With numerous opportunities to capture great photos along the way, it was truly a fantastic day of adventure.

We embarked on an amazing day trip, with Massan as our cheerful driver who promptly picked us up from the hotel. We traveled comfortably in a clean, secure, air-conditioned Toyota land cruiser. Our destination was the Agafay desert, just an hour’s drive from Marrakech. We reached the desert’s highest point easily, offering us a marvelous view of the expansive desert and an adjacent village. The climb wasn’t challenging, making it accessible for all. Lunch was a delightful experience within a Berber village. Hassan truly stood out – he’s not only friendly and approachable, but also remarkably knowledgeable. He eagerly answered all our queries and shared an abundance of historical and cultural insights. At the end of the day, we returned to our hotel content, albeit a bit tired.
