My sister and I had an amazing experience during our valley trek. We both felt that we should have reserved more time for this adventure. Initially, I had my heart set on the M’goun Trek, but due to time constraints, we opted for a shorter tour based on Nidal’s recommendation. The diversity of landscapes we encountered in the mountains and valleys was truly breathtaking. As we continued on our trek, Mohamed, our guide, proposed a slight adjustment to our plan considering our fitness levels and sightseeing preferences. This turned out to be a great decision and I’m immensely thankful to Mohamed for his guidance. Both Mohamed, our guide, and Ali, our muleteer, were highly professional, friendly, and dedicated. I only regret not leaving some of our luggage in Marrakech to ease the load on the mule. I consider myself fortunate to have had them both as part of our trekking experience. I wholeheartedly recommend choosing Marrakech Desert Trips for your tour, and I’m eagerly anticipating my return to Morocco.

A big thank you goes to our hiking guide Mohamed, the fantastic cook, and the muleteer who contributed to this wonderful adventure.

Our guide, Lahcen was fantastic. He tailored the hiking experience to match our preferences and capabilities. He skillfully handled accommodations and meals, surprising us with full tagine meals when we expected only a light trail lunch. It was truly remarkable. Throughout the journey, it felt like we were immersing ourselves in the culture alongside a close friend. We had the pleasure of meeting his family. Lahcen was consistently courteous, supportive, and joyful.

We embarked on an amazing adventure with Mohamed as our guide. His extensive knowledge of Berber villages, language, culture, and the mountains enhanced our experience. The food was absolutely delicious as well. During the trek, our two daughters (ages 10 and 12) joined us, and Mohamed arranged for an extra mule so they could alternate between walking and riding. Mohamed’s interactions with the children were exceptional – he remained patient and engaging. He assisted them on and off the mule, ensuring they were happy by telling stories, singing, and sharing jokes. The trek itself was breathtaking. Covering four mountain passes in just three days granted us stunning vistas of mountains, valleys, and villages. We even had the privilege of meeting Mohamed’s family over tea. This unforgettable journey became the highlight of our two weeks in Morocco.
