The camp

A real bed and a hot shower, with nothing but Sahara on the other side of the canvas.

The camp sits in a horseshoe at the foot of the great dune of Erg Chebbi, tents spaced well apart. Each one is furnished the Berber way — carved wood, woven fabrics, a leather bed — and has its own private bathroom with a hot-water shower.

Dinner is Moroccan and generous, served in the restaurant tent. Afterwards everyone gathers round the fire for music and mint tea before the sky fills with stars. The team speaks English, French, Spanish and Italian, and they’ll look after you from the moment you arrive.

Before you go

Arriving ready

Pack a warm layer

Desert nights get cold, especially in winter — bring a jacket even if the day was hot.

Bring a power bank

Power in the tents may be limited. You can charge devices in the dining tent, and a power bank helps.

Bring a bottle, if you like

There's no alcohol for sale, but you can bring your own and the team will serve it with dinner.

Travel light

Your luggage is transported to the camp for you, so there's nothing to carry in. A small day bag for the camel ride is handy.

A little cash

Useful for beverages, tips, or any extras you add at the camp.

Sunrise is worth it

Set an early alarm: the sunrise over the dunes is the quiet highlight most guests remember.
