Your stay · Imlil, High Atlas
Atlas Berber Lodge
Your tour includes a night here after the Toubkal trek — a family-run lodge perched on the hillside above Imlil, with the valley and the Atlas peaks from every terrace, and a real bed before the desert journey the next day.
The lodge
A family home on the hillside, with the whole Imlil Valley at its feet.
The Atlas Berber Lodge is run by Mohamed and his family — Imlil natives with decades of mountain hospitality behind them — and it shows: guests are welcomed like friends. Built with local materials and dressed in traditional Berber décor, the lodge is perched on the hillside above the village centre, quiet at night, with a breathtaking view over the Imlil Valley and the surrounding Atlas peaks.
Imlil itself, at around 1,740 m, is the gateway to Toubkal National Park — a village of terraced fields, walnut groves and mountain trails, at the foot of Jebel Toubkal, North Africa’s highest peak. Evenings at the lodge revolve around the terraces and the kitchen: sunset gold on the mountains, then tagines and couscous with a reputation of their own.
