Hassan was our driver on several occasions during our stay in Morocco, and he even took us on a day trip to Essaouira. He was always great at staying in touch and making sure we were punctual. What made the experience even better was his role as an excellent guide throughout our journeys. When we reached Essaouira, a wonderful guide was already there to greet us. We got the chance to make stops along the way to check out the Argan co-ops and see the goats – every single detail seemed to be perfectly organized. And a delightful bonus was the enjoyable conversations and music that accompanied us throughout the rides. One delightful surprise was when we made a stop for some truly fresh mint tea and a tasty snack – it added a really nice touch to the experience.

Exploring the coastal city of Essaouira is a fantastic choice for a day trip from Marrakech. Our journey was made even better by Mohamed, our driver and guide, who provided us with plenty of interesting insights and was always polite throughout the drive. Once we arrived, the friendly local guide Ahmed showed us around the old city. He pointed out the fascinating history of the Jewish population that used to thrive here – a culture that has left its mark but has sadly faded over time. I highly recommend this experience. Enjoy!

After enjoying two amazing day trips with Mohamed from Marrakech Desert Trips during our week-long stay in Marrakesh, we decided to include a trip to Essaouira with him as our guide. He went above and beyond to show us lesser-known corners of the city, all without any pressure to visit shops. During our travels to and from Essaouira, Mohamed engaged us in insightful conversations about Moroccan life and the sights we encountered along the way.

Right on time, he picked me up from my hotel and had organized a fantastic local guide for our time in Essaouira. Exploring the old city was a delight, with its charm fully embraced.
